Relax within the synth-laden soundscapes of the saltmarsh

The Ambient Spartina Hythe Saltmarsh Sessions were recorded on Hythe Spartina Marsh Nature Reserve in Hampshire, which overlooks the busy dockland and estuary of Southampton Water.

All the sounds and synths were recorded live.

Hythe Spartina Marsh is famous due to it being the place where Spartina maritima doubled its chromosome count and created the aggressive colonising Spartina anglica.

Noises within the soundscape include Oystercatchers, passing cars, planes, ferries, insects and ice-cream vans.

The nature reserve is managed by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
